StatSheet now projects North Carolina to be a seven seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels are unranked in the AP Poll and sit at #37 in the StatSheet StatRank with a 17-8 overall record and a 7-5 record in the ACC.
During its last four games, North Carolina picked up wins against Virginia and Wake Forest but also took a step backwards with losses to AP #2 Duke and AP #3 Miami (FL).
North Carolina struggles against strong competition, with a 4-7 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 1-6 record against the RPI Top 50 and an 0-5 record against AP ranked teams. While the Tar Heels have a single quality win against RPI #23 UNLV, they're also dinged with a bad loss to RPI #148 Texas.
